Plaid MEP Jill Evans will be in Swansea on Monday, and along with a number of meetings and advice surgeries , she will be visiting SAFE - Swansea Access for Everyone.
She said today:
"Plaid councillors have worked closely with SAFE on a number of issues including trying to create a dedicated access officer post within Swansea Council, and I would like to hear more about this at first hand.
"The question of accessibility for people with disabilities on the new 'bendy bus' is something I hope to discuss, and perhaps take up with First Cymru, the bus operator."
Jill, a member of the Disability Intergroup in the European Parliament, continued:
"Equality issues are very important not only to me, but to Plaid Cymru as a whole, and the party is committed to upholding the equal rights of all individuals. Improving access to local services is vital to ensure that people with disabilities have full social participation in the life of the community "
Jill Evans will also take part in advice surgeries with local councillors, including one at Waunarlwydd Community Centre at 4 p.m.
