Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales European Leader Jill Evans MEP will be visiting Caernarfon on Tuesday the 27th of April. During her visit Jill will meet former Frictions Dynamics workers at the site of the former picket to present literature, some of which has been composed by Party President Dafydd Iwan.
Jill Evans said:
"Progressive politicians across Wales and the whole of the UK have been inspired by the former Friction Dynamics workers and their fight for justice against an unscrupulous employer. It is an honour for me to meet a collective group of people who have sacrificed so much over the course of the last three years."
"Workers Rights will be a major campaign theme for Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales at the forthcoming European Parliament elections. The European Union has a positive record on workers right legislation. Unfortunately the New Labour Government is fighting tooth and nail against the implementation of any directives that would improve conditions and terms for workers here in Wales. Whilst New Labour and the other two London based parties side with big business, Plaid Cymru stands firm with the workers of Wales."
"This small token is a symbol of our solidarity with the former employees of Friction Dynamics."
