  • I met David Rees AM, who is Chair of the National Assembly for Wales’s External Affairs Committee to discuss his Committee’s work on the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.

  • On St David’s Day, I met Mark Drakeford AM, the Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Local Government in Brussels. We discussed Wales’ future after the UK leaves the EU, and how we can work together over the negotiating period.

  • In Plaid Cymru’s Spring Conference in Newport, I gave a speech and was a panellist for the EFA sponsored event, ‘The post-EU future of Wales in Europe’. Also on the panel was Steffan Lewis, Plaid Cymru’s Shadow Secretary for External Affairs in the National Assembly and Miguel Martínez Tomey, who is Head of European Affairs for Chunta Aragonessista, our sister party in Aragon. Emyr Gruffydd, chair of Plaid Ifanc, chaired the panel.

  • I met the RSPCA at the Spring Conference.

  • I attended the EFA Bureau meeting in the Committee of the Regions in Brussels to discuss

  • I gave a speech at the Policy Forum for Wales Keynote Seminar: Priorities for the future of infrastructure in Wales. I talked about the EU infrastructure policies and programmes that Wales could still benefit from after leaving the EU. These include the TEN-T policy that fills the gaps in cross-border networks in Europe and the European Investment Bank.

  • I met with constituents in Blackwood with Stephen Blakeman to discuss a range of issues.

  • I was interviewed on Newyddion 9 about Article 50 is triggered and what next for Wales.

  • I spoke at the PAWB meeting in the National Library in Aberystwyth, ‘Green Nuclear-Free Wales: A United Welsh Front Against Nuclear Power’. My speech was entitled ‘Leaving Euratom: What Next for Wales?’

  • Also in Aberystwyth I attended a Wales Peace Institute meeting.

  • I took part in the newspaper review on Sunday Supplement on Radio Wales with Vaughan Roderick and Lleu Williams.

  • I met local businesses in Pontypridd with Heledd Fychan to discuss the impact of leaving the EU on SMEs.

  • I spoke at an event held in the Pierhead in Cardiff on leaving the EU ’What next for Wales?’ I gave an overview of the developments European Parliament, and talked about what I believe should be prioritised in the negotiations. The event was hosted by the National Assembly for Wales’s External Affairs and Additional Legislation Committee.

  • I attended the EFA General Assembly in Katowice, Silesia, hosted by the Ruch Autonomii Slaska (RAS).
