  • NFU Cymru president Stephen James and NFU Cymru’s Director John Mercer visited the parliament to update me on the current Welsh farming landscape.

  • I opened the South Wales European Forum 2015 in Cardiff, part of the network of European Youth Parliament events.

  • On International women’s day I highlighted the importance of the EU to women’s rights, from laws on equality, parental leave, health and safety, non-discrimination in the workplace, the minimum wage, to rights for part-time and agency workers and much more. Major programmes have been funded to tackle domestic violence against women.

  • I attended an exchange of views between the Culture Committee and the Commission on the state of play for the guarantee facility in the Creative Europe programme.

  • Curon Howells has started work as administrative officer in my constituency office in Ystrad Rhondda and Brieg Dafydd will start an internship at my Brussels office.
